Unlike other camera apps such as Selfie Camera - Beauty Camera Photo Editor and Beauty Camera Pro, the filter selection is presented in split-screen mode so you don’t have to sift through menus to choose the perfect filter.

Despite Picai Smart AI Camera’s advanced AI algorithm, it is prone to detection errors. For instance, the app mistakes the wall for a floor. In addition, using it for extended periods can overheat your device.

To browse through the filters, swipe your finger upwards or tap the arrow button on either side of the screen. To apply it, swipe your finger to the left or right. Filter strength—which is located at the bottom of the screen—can be adjusted by moving the slider. 

As for the brightness option, you need to tap the screen to make it appear on the right side of the screen—though it would be better if it appeared alongside the filter strength slider for the user’s convenience. Other than that, you can enable flash, put a grid, or use the blur effect. However, it’s not perfect since it incorrectly detects animal fur as textile.
